Tao Yin - Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
This therapy uses elements drawn from several oriental healing
traditions. It is used to treat many conditions that would also
be treated by a Physiotherapist or Osteopath. However, unlike
many western modes of treatment this therapy also works to rebalance
the body's subtle energy system.

Some of the healing methods employed in Tao Yin are:
Tui Na:
Chinese Massage and Joint Mobilisation Techniques including the
massage of acupuncture points and meridians with the fingers,
hands and elbows etc.
Amma Massage:
Massage with oils to tonify and promote healing.
Kenku Jutsu ‘Cranial Balancing’:
Gently balancing and realigning the cranium and sacrum to promote
healing, both on a physical and energetic level.
Anmo Fu:
Internal organ massage to balance the organs, release toxins,
and increase energy.
Acupuncture:
The stimulation of specific points on the body with fine needles,
to balance the energy meridians and to enhance the treatment of
long term (chronic) conditions.
Qi Gung (Chi Kung) Positional Release:
A gentle and non-invasive way of treating painful musculo-skeletal
problems, releasing tight muscles and promoting skeletal realignment
through Qi (intrinsic energy)
Initial Assesment:
In Tao Yin all clients are assessed using traditional Chinese
medical diagnostic techniques along with a musculo-skeletal evaluation.
This gentle but effective assessment allows an individual treatment
plan to be constructed for you. The assessment techniques are
non-invasive and painless and take around ten minutes to perform.
Your progress is recorded after every treatment and recommendations
may be made regarding lifestyle. Dietary advice can also be given
should that be required.
